I can easily believe Matt makes a living folding paper, because it's art. as long as you have great imagination and be creative enough you should be able to make an easy living. I could see myself making a living doing what I love, because the things I love to do are actual good paying jobs. music production and film directing are good ways to make an honest living, they are also a different type art.

ReplyDeleteMatt has a passion for what he loves to do. I can believe that he makes a living folding paper because he set his mind to be an artist and never lost sight of it. I do not sing or dance, but from time to time I write poetry of maybe a narrative about something I experienced. I can see myself doing what I love because I love helping people. I want to be a pediatrician so I can help kids. Overall I liked the video because he's doing what he loves and has a passion for and his work is really cool.
ReplyDeleteI do believe that he folds and create paper sculptures for living. If its something he loves and enjoy doing then its only right for him, he could also make it into a career because it is a part of art. Me, personally, I can't see myself doing that because its nothing that I would enjoy doing on an everyday basis.
ReplyDeleteAnd no I do not sing nor dance but, I am a hands on person. I like cooking, traveling seeing new places, interacting with people,etc so, yes I can see myself doing what I enjoy. In the future I do plan on doing one of those things.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on his choice is that, paper engineering is very and unique. there aren't too many people in the world that would the would pursue paper engineering as a career. I can't believe he is actually making a living folding paper but, then again in the world today you can make money for anything. I can sing a little bit, not much of a dancer, and I don't write but, when I do it's pretty good. I can see myself making a good, honestly living doing what I does.

ReplyDeleteI believe that the man is making a living folding paper. The folding paper is very creative and seem fun to do . I don't like to dance or sing but I would dance before I sing. I could really see myself doing a living paper folding I would enjoy doing that seem like a very fun thing and creative thing to do
The man making the living paper is very creative. Not many people have the time and patience to do that. I cannot sing or dance but I am a good writer. To do what you love you must have the right mind set and you can succeed anything. Making a career of this could really be an option to him.

ReplyDeleteI do believe he makes paper sculptures by hand,and he really enjoys what he do. I can sing cannot dance, or write. I would love to see myself doing what I love later in life. The video was pretty amazing how he handcraft paper objects, and stuff I would love to see it in real life. I plan to go to college and major in business and do something one day dealing with sports more likely basketball.

His art work didn't amaze me but Yes I think he can make a living folding paper , that's probably what he loves doing and Mable would think to sell it so yes I honestly think he can make a living do what he loves.

I do not sing and I do not know how to dance , but I do love to play the guitar . I can see myself making a living of what I love to do .

I do believe he had a living from being a college art teacher but I don't really believe how he could work with The Apple Co. because that company works with phones and technology which is interesting to me... I would like to be an artist who draws and sells the artwork but I don't know if I can make a living from this you would have to be very talented to do so. With that being said its sort of confusing because now its like "what now?" what's plan C? I'll figure it out though I still have a year to go for something in life...

When I watched the video about the Matt Shlian folds paper for a living, I couldn't believe it. It would be nice to make about 150$ off of pieces of paper being folded into a sculptor, especially for a college teacher. but then again, he is an art teacher, that apparently like to explore geometric shapes and techniques, so I could say it reasonable but not believable. I wish I can fold paper into a unique sculpture, but I know you have to have patients when folding paper, and that's something I don't have. I do sing sometimes because that's something I like to do, but I mostly stay in the books and learn about more of the body. I see myself making a living off of what I do, for example sports medicine. So when you put it like that, I can now believe that he folds paper for a living.
Matt the art teacher, is very creative. He has open doors to none painters, and showed others that you really don't have to have the ability to draw, but if you the mind of a Creator you can basically turn anything into a exquisite piece of art work.

yes I believe he can make a living moving paper. yes I sing and I dance when I want to and I write occasionally. yes I can see myself having a profession in something I love and im half way there.i honestly want to be an artist you should really see what I can do. I got accepted into the art instruction school that Georgia okeeffe went to with a grade of 91%.and if that doesn't work for me back up plan is architect and engineer.

ReplyDeleteyes its very possible if its something you take seriously about and love doing its definitely possible for him to making a living of paper folding. I really don't have much a profession, but it use to be drawing but I couldn't find any inspiration or drive to do it anymore or either I think that my drawings are good but not good enough to peek most peoples interest and make a living of them.

I think that Matt Shlian creates a really nice work with the paper. That is possible with work and experience. I don't sing, nor dance or write but I like the things I do. Matt is someone who follow his dream through and now he makes art out of folding paper. He set his life to where he would follow his passion as a artist. i cant sing or dance and yet still looking for my talents. This video impacts me by searching harder in my self to find my talent and grow from it. Matt is not only a creative person but he wants people to see it in his art.

ReplyDeleteWhat Matt does is outstanding because he uses his creativity to creat something unique. I think its amazing how he can do this with simple materials such as paper, scissors, and glue. I do believe he does this because he loves it and because he know it can be done. I dont sing,dance, or write but i can be creative with anything that is given to me. I dont think i could be able to do this because, to do this it seems like you need a lot of patience which i dont have. But, maybe if i set a goal to actually creat something like this i can probably do what Matt did.

Yes I can absolutely believe that he makes a living out of folding paper, because that is his calling and he loves to do it. That is his way of expressing himself. I love to write poetry, draw, and many other things, and I can see myself making a living doing what I love, because if I love doing something, then there is no way that I would ever get tired of the job or feel as if I have made an incorrect choice in my occupation.

ReplyDeleteComing from my view of art, I can completely understand and believe he makes a living from just folding paper. In the art world, this really isn't just folding paper, but its transforming paper to something much greater. I could see myself making a living from doing something I love and I personally feel that by doing so is the best way to live life. Making money for a talent that you have and enjoy doing will never get old If you truly enjoy what you do.
This Type of artwork is very outstanding, he uses creativity to create very unique different shapes. Basically he's creating fantastic art work out of folding paper into three dimensional shapes. He used paper to transform it into a much better creation of art work. I could see my self making a living in doing creative things like this, because I enjoy making art very creative and interesting. This artist has really creative work, he takes time in creating his pieces. I could really see myself doing this in the future dealing with creative designs.

ReplyDeleteYes I can believe that Matt makes a honest living folding paper, it's not as ordinary as it may sound it's more to it. The paper he folds is used in printed media, art books, and commercial design. He is a very creative artist. I personally don't sing nor dance but occasionally I do write and I write very well. Yes I can see myself making a living doing what I love, I love to write. I've always had dreams of being a journalist I can express myself and thoughts in my writings and make a honest living while doing so.

ReplyDeletefrom my point of view I feel as if he's very artistic and creative at what he does and loves it very much.and feeling as passionate about something like he does and did since the first day he knew that's what he wanted his career too be ,honestly yes I can believe he makes a living from folding paper because he's really good at it and enjoys it very much so he's going to put his heart into every one that he does,i do not sing,dance or write but I am very passionate about helping people and that's what I want to do for the rest of my life that's why I want to be a great asset to other peoples life's and be a nurse and do every thing in my power to care as much as I can for my patients and make a living doing so. that's why I feel like his career will be no different than mine getting payed to do what he love.
When you have a true passion for something and love what you do, like Matt Shlian, I truly believe it is possible to do that for the rest of your life and make a living for yourself. The video is a good example of how following your dreams can take you far, even if its something as simple as folding paper. How he uses paper and creates thousands of wonderful things with it is mind blowing. Like Shlian, I plan to follow my dreams. My plans for the future are to become a sports photographer and after work for the National Geographic. I think with my dedication and determination, its possible for me to do that for the rest of my life and become successful as well.

ReplyDeleteMatt Shulman is very creative , unique and artistic its like he can create whatever he put his mine through. What he do is very outstanding and seems as he just make as he goes. The video makes you really want to go out and pursue your dreams more cause you can do what you please if you put your mind to do and is willing to put hard work in. ReplyDeleteFrom my point of view Matt has a state of mind of being a paper engineer and folding them to all kinds of shapes but using so much methods he can use and that his passionate of being a paper engineer. I do not sing nor write and I do dance outside of school but I'm very passionate of helping lots & lots of people reach for their goals and my other passionate is that I wanna be a dietitian or to be in the medical field is that I wanna help people live long-term so they can see their grandchildren live their life...such as school, graduation, & marriage. Although, I am not perfect like anybody else is that to just be yourself and persue your dreams just by worrying about yourself. ~follow your dreams~

From what I viewed in the video Matt has a passion for what he does and is very creative and apparently quite patient. I believe you can make a living doing anything you want as long as you love what you do. Yes I do sing , I don't dance but I do write. I could see myself doing what I love because its something that I love not something that I would dread doing when I wake up in the morning. In my future life after I graduate I'm going to attend college and begin my career in writing because that is something I absolutely love doing.
Matt is a very legit creative artist. Its amazing how you have that/those talents and have the ability to be free minded. What makes his work more nicer is using printed media and commercial like he said in the video. I do not sing or dance. I like to work with electronics, but i'm still finding what I like to do. To be honest I couldn't see myself doing this because it is a long... process, but its not worth a try. Having a mind like Matt can really help you alot in life!

Matt Shulman is a very interesting man. His ability to craft such an amazing thing out of paper is an incredible thing to do. It shows how much passion he has for doing this and the patience he has in order to create such outstanding piece of work. I honestly don't think Mr.Shulman can make a living out of this because of the fact that not many people crave these kinds of things. I could make a living for what I love to do only if I take the time to get better at it

ReplyDeleteI can completely believe that Matt makes a living off of folding paper because the more artistic you are the more people will pay for your work. Also Matt can surely succeed in making art from paper because he puts the time in to do what he loves at the best of his ability. I could see myself doing what I love because I like to be creative and architecture I feel is the right way to create designs of structures in a creative way. I feel that I could succeed and make a good living off of this because architects shape the world and the world needs creative people with artist ability.
The fact that this man is folding paper and making money from that is an odd concept at first, BUT it makes sense when he starts to explain his creative process and historical facts behind it. He likes to feel the image or sculpted piece. I also noted that if he can see the final image, he doesn't do it. I draw, I write, I sometimes sing, and I make my own music. I could definitely see myself being self-employed or working for companies like roosterteeth or gaming companies. It would be a dream come true to be in an environment like Roosterteeth's staff, one big family with different skills working to achieve a common goal; to entertain and be successful.

It's weird to think that you could get paid for folding paper, but it is considered art so I can see how he could make a living as an artist. I like the fact that he gets paid to something that he loves to do, that's how I want to be in the future. When you are doing something you actually like to do you don't hate going to work everyday, you look forward to it.
I do believe that he folds and create paper sculptures for living. I can't believe Matt created the folding paper sculpture. he makes art look different and in a new perspective. even though I don't know how to sing or dance, writing helps me express my opinions or feelings I have or want to address. in the future, I want to own my own art gallery and I could see myself making a living doing what I love.

Matt can make a living out of folding paper, is what he loves doing and he has passion over what he can create with paper. creating different figures and shapes to make art is fascinating. I believe anyone can make a living out of something they are passionate for if the mind set is positive.
Its unbelievable that Matt can make a living out of folding and sculpting pieces of paper. He must love doing this as a living to spend his time doing these things.

I do believe that Matt Shlian could easily make a living folding paper because he is extremely talented at what he does. The art he creates is unique and nothing like I've seen before. I do not sing, dance, or write. I do see myself making a living doing what I love because its something that I look forward to working in when I get older.

ReplyDeleteI believe that he can make a living off of what he does. A well amount more than just middle class possibly. I've never actually thought there were paper engineers. Never even knew there was something out there like that. He works for Apple, that is a very outstanding accomplishment. If he did not feel accomplished I would. I could see myself doing what I love. I like to work on cars and improve on them and just restore them. I want to own the business though, not work for someone. I have kind already started on that but I am slowly working on it. Hope that I can do what I love using a job!

ReplyDeleteSee, I had previously seen what a paper engineer does for a living, but I never considered it a stable career for some reason. I personally believe that being a paper engineer would be difficult for me to pursue because it requires a lot of patience. Also, as for picking my career, I don't have the same solid goal as Shlian did. I would actually consider becoming an elementary teacher because I'd be dealing with various subjects everyday (life is always best when the spices are fresh). All in all, paper engineering does seem like an interesting career, but I do not believe I'd be well-suited for it.

I think Matt does a great job with the paper, with the things he does shows the love for art.The way he does things with paper arouses interest in people wanting to try. I say this because it happened to me.
I do not sing, dance and writing is not my hobby, things that I like are very different from these.
But I think I could live on what I like to do. Because that's what I like and I will look how this helps me to live.
I think Matt does a great job creating paper because , he is very creative and unique . He put hard work and time to make paper into a masterpiece . Matt loves what he do ,he has a gift of being an artist . If you love doing something ,its always a good thing to take advantage of what you love doing because , you can maybe make a living off of what you do.

I think that he is doing something he love and getting paid for it so that's already a way to live. When I get older I want to go to college get my bachelors degree and then go to medical school. After that I want to complete my residency to be a psychiatrist. I want to have 3 kids. I'm glad he's doing something he loves because that inspires me to do something I love.

The artist is very passionate about his art work. I feel that if you love something enough to make it your career than you should. I could believe Matt could make a living off of folding papers. When you're doing something you love it's not even a job, it's your career, it's something you enjoy and don't mind doing. Anybody can make a fortune on doing something they're good at. I like solving mysteries so if I decided to become a detective, I possibly would enjoy my work I also like proving my point, so if I became a lawyer I wouldn't mind hard tasks because it's challenging me on something that I love to do.

I can believe that this man is making a living out of folding paper. In the work there is a person need for everything, he just happens to be needed for something that isn't that common. I can in away admire what he is doing, only because he's doing what HE wants to do and not care about the opinion of others. Many people probably tell him that what he's doing is dumb and useless yet he continues to do what he love and make a branch out of it. In the future I can see myself working in some fine arts school because I love art and everything that it has to deal with.

- From what I saw in the video Matt is doing something that he has a lot of experience in and love doing. I think its amazing how people can find almost anything to make a career from. I like how he uses creativity in his work and all the different shapes, sizes and patterns. I liked working on this project because of the many different things you can do with paper. I do believe he makes a living folding paper because many people find it interesting what you can do with paper and will pay lots of money just because they find it fascinating that he could come up with such art. I can see myself doing what I love because its fun and will never go out of style. When you find something that you like to do and you know for a fact that people will pay for your work you should find a way to make a living out of it.

ReplyDeleteYes, the idea that someone would make a living doing something considered mundane is not unheard of with me. His works are rather interesting and appear to have a long amount of care placed into them. The artwork could easily seem like a simple drawn on work, but instead are many pieces of paper placed in on each other. I myself enjoy making up stories and often have a visual to go along with it. I would love to have a job in which I could do that and not be set to the standards of others.

No it was hard to believe that he made a living off folding paper but I guess the world has a need for there paper folded the right way. sadly I wasn't blessed with no writing, dancing, nor singing skills and when I get older the job I would love to have is to be a chef or vet
I think it's fascinating how someone can simply just do all these fabulous paper folds and create art! And then bam, you have a master piece ! It would be stupendous if I could do what I love for a living and not get tired of it.

I think it's great that he is able to make a living out of something he loves doing. I myself see myself as an artist in writing poetry and songs. I don't see myself as an singer or rapper just an artist. Also, I believe I can make a living from doing that because I am really creative with it and also a lot of people want those kind of talents nowadays. I plan on trying to get my work out there once I perfect my work enough in my eyes.
