The artist used color. The artist made the flowers big. She used most of a the canvas.
She used value to accentuate the flowers. She made the black pop out in the flower. She used different colors in the painting.
I think she was trying to show that are flowers are not made with pretty colors. Also that she wanted to bring out the black in the flower to show a negative representation.
Overall, this is a good piece of work by the artist to show that all flowers are different and athey are all not pretty and colorful.

In this art work, O'Keeffe created a poppy seed flower, with dark colored seeds in the middle, while the petals are mixed with reds, oranges, and yellows, which reminds me of a sunset color scheme. O'Keeffe arranged here artwork through the elements and principles: color, texture in the seeds, proportion, value, and balance. I think with this painting, O'Keeffe was trying to communicate the fact that there is more to this flower close up, rather than from a distance. What makes this painting successful are the value and color techniques visible in the poppy seed painting.

In my opinion Georgia Okeeffe drew the flowers close-up so you could see the detail such as the red, orange, and black colors in the two flowers. The flowers were placed side by side which makes the painting even better. I think this is a great artwork because, the color and details used are significant. It is significant because I've never seen a flower so close such as the one Georgia O'keeffe drew.In my opinion it demonstrates the beauty of a flower by zooming in the flower. Georgia Okeeffe is known for artwork on flowers and this is certainly one of the best.

Georgia O'keeffe uses the colors orange, red, pink, and black. She uses two close flowers to seen a different perspective. O'keeffe uses all the negative and positive space to her advantages. The color correspond well with the flowers. The flowers brings happy thoughts into mind and makes becomes truly beautiful. The flowers in my thoughts are a symbol of beauty and she has a great balance between the flowers. O'keeffe reaches he audience by perplexing them.

In this piece there is a painting of a flower that is multiple colors. The colors are blended, and the flower is detailed. The painting zooms in on the flower, and it is replicated(two). You can see the details clearly, and there is a contrast. The flower consumes the majority of the landscape. She chose to zoom in on the flowers and give lots of detail, because she wants people to see the overall beauty of the flower, whether they want to or not. Overall this is a great piece of artwork, because she goes in depth with the painting to bring out every aspect that she could.

Red Poppies by Georgia O'Keeffe has two unique flowers in the center of the artwork, the whole page is covered by the flowers. This artwork has a calming feeling to it and shows warm colors, springs' feel to it. I can tell this artwork was arranged by the color scheme, It calmed me and I felt at peace with it. The colors contrasted dark and light. What I mean by that is that the colors mixed together perfectly in my opinion. I feel that the author of this painting was/felt at peace with something in his or her life. Maybe relieved because the flower was open, to represent it was growing into something bigger and better. Basically Red Poppies is a drawing of two flowers that was blossoming.

This painting was a great painting to me I like how the colors were used in an ombre, but none of them were extremely bright it still kept the warming mood. The colors used were yellow, red, orange, and black. The colors also went from dark to light. The artist used some value as far as blending. There's no specific shape to the petals, and there wasn't really any space in between them. Overall it was a good piece of art.

In the painting O'keeffe draws two red poppies zoomed in. Georgia O'keeffe uses a yellowish orangish color on the tips of petals and as the petals heads towards the center the color turns to a red, then in the center the poppy seeds are black. Which in my opinion reminds me of the seasons changing. Throughout the painting O'keeffe uses the elements of: shape, emphasis, variety, unity, balance and value. In my opinion Georgia work is trying to show the beauty in all things. From my perspective all people move so fast to where you never stop to notice the little things in life. I believe O'keeffe tries to show the beauty in detail of something overlooked. In my opinion the art work is successful because the flower different color schemes and overall unity pulls it together.

  13. This painting uses value with the red and orange to make the petals, there is a black center of the flower, and no negative space because of the up close view. O'Keeffe arranges the flowers by centering them and then taking up all the space given. What she's trying to do is grab the viewers attention with these huge flowers to force them to truly see them, and see ALL of them, and the true beauty they have. The thing that makes this artwork successful is emphasis put on the whole flower by making them so big.

In O'Keeffe's painting you can see two flowers painted with shades of red and black. The black is used for the center while the red is used for the pedals.
There are patterns of value being used in the painting. These include dark red to light red being used in both of the flowers.
I believe the artist created a close up image because they wanted to bring more detail to the vibrant colors and value techniques
I consider this a good painting because the artist used the right type of color and size that made the two flowers stand out.

The artwork is two flowers in shades of orange and red with dark centers inside of the flower. The picture holds a type of balance between the two flowers, as while one flower is overshadowed by the other as the latter appears to holds more space. I feel as though the artwork is showing that two of the same can still compete with one another. This is evidenced by the way the flowers appear to be competing for sunlight.

I see orange flowers with the center being a dark color , the flowers being close to the viewer. The artist arranged different shades of orange to make it look 3D adding darker shades in different places. The painting is trying to interpret how the flowers can give off different pictures when painted up close. The artwork is interesting since the art piece doesn't really have a background, it is mostly focused on the flowers and details up-close.

The artwork by Georgia O'Keeffe has big orange-red flowers with black in the middle. The viewer can tell she painted this picture and added detail to the flowers. this isn't the only artwork I've seen by this artist of a poopy, so that tells me that poppies may have some sort of significance in the artists life. The artist used contrast as in lightening and darkening the picture. The artist made the flowers bigger to show how beautiful they are. Maybe to alert others on how they overlook small things of life. I like this work by Georgia O'Keeffe.

Georgia O'Keeffe's art is as painting of red poppies that are red on the outside and a dash of black in the middle of the flower. The peddles of the flowers are a orangish-red giving a relaxing vibe. O'Keeffe uses color, shape, and emphasis. I believe that this piece of artwork is simple, but has a powerful look. The red poppies give off a sense of peace and relaxation. Overall, the artwork doesn't have to much going on, but just enough.

  39. In Georgia O'Keeffe's painting, various warm and hot hues were used. The painting has two, almost-symetetrical, flowers painted on the surface . There is a visible division line towards the center dividing both flowers. The painting's medium was most likely oil paint because of the textured brush strokes. O'Keeffe was a recognized feminist artist; her "bright" painting of flowers surely supports her beliefs. All in all, her painting is very impressive, especially with her brush strokes.

O'Keefe painted the flowers so that the background is really just the flower still. She was trying to communicate with the viewer the beauty of the flower. In this artwork the water painted artwork used warm-dark colors. She also drew two of the same flowers with no positive space. Georgia O'Keeffe used art elements such as blending, shadowing, and texture. I believe that the reason she choose to paint the two flowers so close up is because she wanted the viewer to see all the beautiful details that we fail to see when we glimpse at a flower. O'Keeffe did a great job with this art piece.

I see autumn like colors which are warm and comforting. She uses the same flowers but just from a different angle. The texture seems as if it had a soft touch. The shadowing of the background sets off the scene. The close up on the flowers may be because she wanted to show detail.

In this painting you can see there is a floral image with vampy tones of orange, red and black. It gives off plenty of value, the image is a close up of the flower so you can see the colors more. The creator most likely wanted to show the details of it.
